From this point on I will list the deviations from the Licensed Engineering company Lucent.
1. Wiring: On wiring diagram a high voltage wire is required to 4AWG, 6AWG was used.
2. Rail: Unirac SM required, cheap aluminum rail used that doesn’t have the load to carry modules and the where spliced the rail is causing the modules to bow and twist. Any rail installed requires the RT-Mini stand-off is required to have a 48” separation between them. I had separation gaps of between 7’ to 10’11”. Thus the sagging, twisting and module moving when we had 40 mph winds with gust up to 50 mph and rain.
3. RT-mini stand-off: Installed and over tightened/torqued on decking several of the edges went thru the decking. Water leaks: The over tightened/torqued stand-offs caused water leaks. Crew drops by to run test on the system wires. I tell them about water leaks. They find one leak . I told them just because they found one right away, there could be others. The young guy they send up to check for more leaks says to me “how do we know the leaks were not already there”?. We almost came to fists and he finally backed down. Being mad he goes in to the attic and says there are no more leaks. He makes sure we hear every step he takes in the attic. He steps on the ceiling truss over our kitchen I now have a 4.5’ crack. We remodeled and we added on this entire kitchen footings and all. He then steps thru the ceiling in the master bathroom and says nothing to anyone. I find it as they are leaving, stop the truck and the lead comes in to see it. Insulation is everywhere and it’s wet from the leak. They fry my shop vac, don’t clean up the mess and use a piece of my Sheetrock to patch the hole and now I need to buy a full 8’ sheet.
4. They cut the wrong rails so short they decided it was fine and on 4 module ends there is one clamp where 2 are required.
5. Panels require and exclusion zone of 18-24” for water shedding other wise water shoots over the gutters. On the south side of new roof the panel edge is to be 3’; they installed them less than 1’.
6. Wrong wiring used in j-box with the high voltage wire needed for the voltage/amps the load would be subject to. They used 6AWG when 4AWG was required per the engineer.
7. Module Optimizers require string #1 14 and string #2 13. They installed 10 on #2 and 17 on #1. Per the optimizer warranty they busted the wattage on #1 string 1200 watts. My system is 11070ish Watts.
To top it off my entire backside of house new roof has to replaced. All the stand-offs have to be removed because they were installed incorrectly and to way tighter than the warranty states. They also didn’t level them and use sealant around each one even though they come with a tar based flashing on the them.
