Type of a scam Employment
I was contacted by email and phone from a man using the name Joey champ representing Vibeapex. He stated he found me off Indeed.com. He offered me a job, called back with a interview and then received emails stating I was hired, but needed to have my own laptop, phone & printer. My job title was Storage processor. I was sent forms by email that I had to fill and sign (W2 & I9 forms).
My first order was received on 10/18/23. Basically, a package would be mailed to my address, it was my job to open, check for damages, print labels and enter data onto the edge-crm.com system. Then it was my job to take and drop off at the carrier of their choice.
I was promised payment on 11/17/23 and would receive it by regular USPS mail in a form of a check. I sent multiple emails and got a couple of small responses, but it was just giving an excuse as to why i hadn't received it yet.
To my knowledge, I feel as if they are purchasing items with stolen prepaid cards or credit cards and have a system set up all over the U.S, but using storage processors to send the final package so that it would not be traced back to the scammer, but to the storage processor. Oh crap, that's me
This has truly put me in a horrible bind and I wasn't even able to buy anything that I needed and I'm not able to cook for Christmas because I was not paid for my work and it's been over 30 days now.
The bills are piling up and past due and I am absolutely sick that I fell for this, but they definitely seemed genuinely promising in the beginning. It's obvious they know what their doing. I lost my job in August and I've been trying desperately to find a decent paying job with good benefits and then when this came along I was relieved.
I am making attempts to find work everyday and I am trying to stay positive, but to be scammed right here at the holidays is just disgusting. It takes a truly sick, twisted evil minded person to have the balls to do such thing.
I'd truly appreciate any help on a further investigation.

My first order was received on 10/12/23. Basically, a package would be mailed to my address, it was my job to open, check for damages, print labels and enter data onto the edge-crm.com system. Then it was my job to take and drop off at the carrier of their choice. I later checked the names and the addresses of the shipment going out, and that's when I realized something was bad wrong, especially when some of the addresses had been flagged as shipping scammers.
