Scammer Text Message

I had a Patrick Hoffman hire me today as Customer Service supposedly, and I am to report to him tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM. Haley Parsons was the initial text who reached out and had to download app called Signal to chat with the hiring manager for interview.

Work from home job offer using major startup company that is based in Switzerland, but has been branching out to the US. Has a location in Philadelphia, PA. Has offered to pay for office supplies needed to setup small home office for use. Interview via WIRE app. Sending a check to cover the cost, but materials must be bought through their personally preferred vendors. Check sent through UPS from PINEHILL DISTRIBUTION, PEACE CRAMER, 201 Main Street, Milwaukie, OR 97222. I have the OVERNIGHT envelope, but have not opened it yet.

Initial text message from Haley Parsons. Asked me to install WIRE app for HR Patrick Hoffman to contact me.

This just happened to me today and was supposedly hired by Patrick Hoffman as Customer Service. I am to receive a check to buy work materials sometime next week.
