Scammer knocked on my door saying she was from *** and that the meters on our electricity were incorrect and that we would be refunded on our next bill. She asked initially to see a billing statement for which I didn’t have, so then for my account number, name, address and phone Number.

She wanted to get my signature on something but it felt off so I probed her with questions about why this was being done in person, and how often, and how much the meters were off.

I managed to take a photo of her “ID” as well.
