Type of a scam Online Purchase
I was asked to fill out 4 questions about Costco service and than given the opportunity to get a thank you gift of face/eye cream paying only shipping & handling charges. My credit card account was billed two charges appearing on my statement from Simply Answer Now & E JR Strong Healthy.
I was then charged from Hydraluxe & Rejuvegold for shipping and handling. There were two more charges from from Simply Answer Now for EJR strong healthy. Another charge from Hydraluxe & Rejuvegold.
When I called to enquire what the charges from Simply Answer now & EJR Strong Healthy were for, I was told it was for the Hydraluxe & Rejuvegold. When I called Hydraluxe & Rejuvegold asking why I was billed under another name I was told they have no affiliation and, I quote, “I have no idea who you are talking about”.
After multiple calls, taking time off work, several trips to the bank, cancelling my credit card, 2 three way calls with the bank and the apparent company who billed my credit card these unauthorized billings, I was told by Simply Answer now & EJR strong and healthy I was being given a refund. This only happened when I was on a 3 way call with the company, credit card and myself. When the bank representative asked why it appears they are billing under a false name we were hung up on and I was sent e-mails saying credits were going through. I won’t know if this is true until I get my statement. I have received a confirmation e-mail that has no identifying information on who its coming from or what is being refunded. Its all numbered confirmations. Simply Answer now & EJR strong & healthy appear to be operating under a false name and representing themselves as Hydraluxe & Rejuvegold. They are also billing customers credit cards for products that were not requested or received. They claim it is under terms & conditions but I could not find it. It’s a very deceptive and misleading marketing practice.
Dealing with them is an exhausting process as they tell you the same thing over & over and sight the terms & conditions of ordering samples. I am complaining that Simply Answer Now & EJR Strong & Healthy are using information given to Hydraluxe & Rejuevegold for their own financial benefit and appears to be fraudulent in nature.I am also claiming they are using deceptive marketing practices and deliberatly attempt to fool, confuse and mislead customers. I have had to work extremely hard to get refunds for charges that were never authorized. That is assuming they go through.
I am disappointed with the credit card company that it took the number of trips to the bank and the request that I call this company multiple times only to hang up frustrated that questions were not being answered. Reading more about this company it appears to be a very unethical business practice as they are obviously sharing my credit card number. I now understand how victims of fraud feel. Trying to prove the unethical business practices and proving I did not authorize the charges appearing on my credit card.
