Received a phone call on 5/30/19 at 1:59 p.m. from "Damien" stating he was from El Paso Electric and wanted to speak to a manager because he had a work order to disconnect service due to non-payment. I asked him to bring in the work order and he said no he would not bring it in. Again I told I needed to see the work order and he hung up.

I received a call from woman (in Spanish) telling me she had an order to disconnect my service for non-payment to El Paso Electric. I told her I did not owe anything and hung up on her. Two hours later a man, identifying himself as Wilson from the electric company, again, he too had order to disconnect my service. I knew it was a scam so I asked him for my account number and amount due. He stated he didn't have that info, but I needed to call back within 45 minutes to number provided, choose option 1 for Spanish. All of conversation was in Spanish (had accent of someone from Central America. He had my name & number, but I don't have account with electric company.

They have also called the home phone number, but we don't answer.

A caller by the name of "Anthony" insisted he was from El Paso Electric Company, the electrical service provider in town. The caller ID showed El Paso Electric. He insisted that our power would be shut off within the hour if we did not pay a $998.12 cash deposit for a new meter. He would only accept cash via "greendot moneypak" at the nearest Walgreens. We decided to call the local number for the El Paso Electric and learned this call was a complete scam. The voice of the caller did not sound like a local dialect or accent.

Calls from 1-800-461-4355 calls himself Robbie Johnson and calls himself an account specialist. He demands payment or will disconnect service.
