I recently remarried. Met with my local bank 3/9/26 to update accounts including credit card. Yesterday got letter dated 3/9/26 sayung they couldn't update my VISA card until I provided valid US gov ID showing new name & legal doc supporting change request. Addressed to old name, correct last 4 digits of card#. I was typing email to them with docs when it dawned on me to do some checking first. Whew!

I received a letter that said they couldn’t establish an account because they couldn’t verify my identification information on the application. It only had the phone number above as a way to communicate. When I looked it up, it seems this number has been used in a scam before. I have not applied for any new accounts.
