I responded to a Craigslist ad for an apartment for rent in the Denver area located at 1760 Franklin St, Denver,CO 80218. A man names Eleanor Mcphearson emailed me back and gave me some information about the apartment including pictures and the location of the apartment. After a few emails, he sent me a rental agreement form which I filled out and sent back to him. The agreement was that I would make a transfer from my bank to his bank for $1,450 which was for the first month's rent and security deposit for the apartment and he would send me the Entrance and the rooms Keys, Paper/Permanent apartment form(Containing your details), The apartment documented file and Payment Receipts.

He provided me with his full name, his banking account number and his banking routing number so I could make the transfer to him. I made a check transfer at a Bank of America, which is the bank he told me he banked at, on October 19th. He texted me and told me that he received the money and that he would send the package via a FedEx currier service the next day. I made numerous attempts to get ahold him after the money was deducted from my account to see when I would receive the package and I never heard from him. I never heard from this person again and I am out now $1,450.

I again made numerous attempts to get ahold of this person via email, text and calling and this was to no avail. I have alerted my bank as well as his bank regarding the situation.
