Initially Googled “Poodles for Sale” and came across the web site “Elegant Poodles”. Reviewed the site and inquired about a puppy from the site named “Oscar”. Received a response via email that the dog was available and the cost was $500. Was also advised that the full payment would be needed in order to hold the puppy and prepare for purchase.

Cohen Hudson and Laurice Hudson were the names given for the Zelle payment and the email given for payment delivery was

- Once the flight is booked, we will provide you the flight number, date and time of departure and arrival as well as all info you will require to pick up the puppy upon arrival.

- Within 24 hours of takeoff, our staff will place a follow-up call to confirm that your pet arrived safely and that you have taken possession of your pet.

- As a matter of routine, Don't forget to take your puppy to your veterinarian for the regular arrival-health-check-up within 48 hours of arrival.

We guarantee 30 days money back on every puppy purchased from us. Also home delivery will include an extra charge of $50. we will like to know if you will like to pick up the puppy at your closest airport or you will prefer home delivery???

Also included in this scam was a company which was identified as Pet Carriers International who sent email after the money was sent saying that Per Insurance was required prior to pet being able to be sent. The email stated that $850 would be needed and would be 98% refundable upon delivery at airport. That payment was sent via Zelle to Derrick Jackson

He stated puppies were $500 and i could pay via cashapp. Puppy would arrive at the airport or i could have it (Buddy) delivered to my home for $50. Gave me his cash app information ($willsjrc) and he ask me to email him with a screen shot that payment was made and i did pay the $500! There is also another scammer with TeaCup Poodles that uses text from 3 different #'s. All refer to selling person as Mr. WILLIAMS. I have the numbers.

I found ElegantPoodles.com through a search engine. They listed their puppies for $500 which seemed too good to be true. I was hesitant to purchase online and asked for proof that they were legitimate. All I received was the following "I do understand your concern. There is quite a lot of scams going on nowadays and you really have to be careful with whoever you are dealing with. I just want to let you know that I run a legit business. I don't run scams. I assure you will get your puppies with no problem. I promise you they will make a great addition into your home and you will never regret getting the puppies from us." They were quick to respond to all my inquiries and payment methods, but as soon as I requested proof of the puppies they were going to sell me in the form of photos, I never heard from them again.
