Location - Remote (10% travel to headquarters)
Salary - $130K -$145K ( depending upon the experience) and 401k benefits included ( Bonus 22% fixed bonus)
Role Responsibilities
· Help design, implement and perform full life cycle software testing
· Perform software testing including manual, black box testing to ensure code quality
· Work closely with software engineers and architects to ensure complete and accurate software testing
· Evaluate new software testing technologies for appropriateness
· Work with TFS or GIT and other development automated build and code repository frameworks
· Work with developers to identify, track and fix bugs
Other Responsibilities:
· Work within the context of an agile scrum team to evaluate user stories and verify practicality and applicability of enhancement requests.
· Analyze user stories for test ability and scope of test effort.
· Provide an agile scrum team with the best estimate of test effort.
· Identify risks associated with testing efforts and make appropriate judgments to minimize risk while delivering on commitments.
· Define and communicate appropriate approaches to test assigned functionality, governed by complexity and scope.
· Create and execute test cases demonstrating coverage of all user story acceptance criteria.
· Report defects and errors, as well as status of testing.
· Implement and execute test automation scripts, frameworks, and tooling as directed. This includes both legacy functionality (regression) and current sprint deliverable.
· Establish and maintain appropriate test bed data with consideration of dynamic and encrypted elements.
· Implement adjustments to database schema, user interfaces, and business logic modules as necessary.
· Utilize technical and domain expertise to mentor team members, improve efficiencies, and refine processes and procedures.
· Evaluate end user documentation using end product, general knowledge, and content of user stories.
· Passionately pursue quality in one's own actions and in the context of assigned projects/tasks.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a Q/A tester or similar role
· Scrum Certification is mandatory (In process is acceptable)
· Experience in project management and Q/A methodology.
· Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
· Working knowledge of test management software
· Excellent communication skills
· Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
