Type of a scam Online Purchase
At first my order was denied, I jumped to conclusion they weren't going to ship because I used a PO Box. I then entered my home address. Then I proceeded to enter payment. First entry was denied. I thought what the heck.
I then called number they have on website only to hear recording not a valid number. Finally it all made sense I was scammed.
Fortunately, no money was taken but still my info is out there in cyberspace; all because I didn't give any thought to warning signs (to repeat)...
1. No warning message, staying I couldn't use PO Box like Amazon. 2. First payment denied. 3. Phone number was invalid.
In hindsight, I allowed my "want/desire" outweigh warnings. I foolishly proceeded with giving more information than I should have.
Don't be fooled, if sounds too good to be true it probably is. To find a company with many discontinued products it's more likely not legitimate. Unless it's from an individual like Ebay; at least you have PayPal.
Conclusion: don't allow "wants/desires" to outweigh common sense. Don't assume because companies advertise in your state/country they are legitimate. Always use your initial warning sign / instincts; I have ignored mine from time to time and I end up getting hurt but that's another story.
