I posted my car up for sale on Craigslist on 5/28/2018. I received a phone call, and then a text message from a suspicious phone number (805) 749-9799 asking me to provide this potential customer with a car history report from http://elitevinlocator.com which leads to a website https://official.vin.

I knew immediately that this looked too suspicious as I usually rely on carfax to provide my car's history.
