called a locksmith because after fixing my transmission my immobilizer in my vehicle came on due to the battery being unplugged for hours to fix the transmission. I contacted speedy locksmith and was told a $25 service fee. When the locksmith called me to say an ETA and a quote estimate he never told me after I asked for the amount and told me he will arrive in 30 minutes. They also take your full personal address just to have a locksmith contact you and answer your questions but if you try to deny giving an address they will not help you whatsoever not even answer questions. So that locksmith was already headed over which is sketch. When my boyfriend went out there and the guy said it would be $400 to fix because he had to create a key and program it. My boyfriend said no to the service due to it being so high priced. The locksmith then told my boyfriend it would be $60 for him just showing up. My boyfriend felt pressured to pay so he did but when he came in and told me I called the locksmith and he stated it was a late night fee with the service fee. I told him his representatives on the phone never stated such fee only the $25 service fee. He tried to keep me from talking and hung up the phone. I called the representative and informed her and she put me on a 8 minute hold before I just hung up and gave up. I am currently having my boyfriend dispute the charges because no job was even done and he lied about an extra fee. These are scam artists. The same is that they force you into payment. They show up because they already have your address and if they show up you have to pay and false fees are created in person.
