Type of a scam Online Purchase
They stated that they would have FDIC deposit money into our account to make a loan insurance payment. We would need to go to walmart and buy a Lending Club card to put that money on to make the payment. Then they would deposit the 5,000.
The man on the phone wanted us to drive to walmart while he waited on the line. Then he actually told my wife to leave me, her husband, in the car while she went in to get the card and make the payment. He also said they needed my wifes username and password to our bank so that FDIC could deposit the money. We didnt do this, but thought the ScamPulse.com should be aware of them, especially since they claimed several times on the phone to be a "BBB accredited business."
