This was a text book buying a puppy online scam. They were selling the puppy for $700 which would include the transportation of the puppy via airplane to our house. Once we gave the money which was through Zelle (Which should have been a red flag) we got an email later from the carrier that they needed $1500 more for a transportation crate and we would get that money back once the puppy was delivered. This is when we became suspicious and declined to pay any more money and requested our initial money back. Doing this prompted them to say they will see us in court for abandoning the puppy.
