I was contacted via a text message on my iPhone. The position of Data Entry Representative was offered to me after I was asked to interview via Zoom chat. The interviewer or Hiring Manager, Sara Johansson, seemed professional and asked typical hiring questions. The interview was about one hour. They provided a website and told me they would be building an office in Miami to be completed at the end of next month. However, I could work remotely. I would be sent a check for the required four types of accounting programs and types of databases I would need. I also would be sent a check for a laptop which I would purchase from a vendor of their choice. I was told that tomorrow they would send to me the information for the hiring paperwork required. I am to check in with Zoom chat first thing tomorrow morning. I have a good idea that this is a SCAM. I have contacted the legitimate company to see if a Sara Johannson actually hired me. I will wait to hear back from the company.
