Fraudulent Job Offer
At this point, I did some digging and found that they are impersonating a real company, Clancy & Company. The fraudulent Clancy uses the same address as the real one. I contacted the real Clancy using emails I found from https://www.clancyca.com/html/contact.html. I received a reply confirming that they, [email protected], are indeed scammers. Photo of email attached.
Do NOT engage them at all. [email protected] is not offering legitimate positions and do not represent the real C&C.
Defamation laws in Canada serve to protect individuals and businesses from false, damaging statements that harm their reputation. Making false statements with the intention of harming a business's reputation falls within the scope of defamation. Additionally, the Competition Act in Canada enforces fair competition and prohibits misleading or malicious practices that harm the goodwill of businesses.
Please be advised that we take the protection of our company's reputation seriously. We kindly request that you immediately cease all threats and actions that could defame our company or harm our reputation. Failure to comply with this request may result in legal consequences, including seeking damages and any other remedies available under the law. We hope that further actions can be avoided and that we can resolve this matter amicably and respectfully.
Your accusations are falsified and I ask you to immediately delete this comment.
Please be informed that this letter serves as a final warning. We trust that you will act responsibly and choose not to engage in any defamatory activities towards our company.
It is essential that you understand the serious implications of making baseless accusations and spreading false information.
Firstly, we want to emphasize that as per the terms of our agreement , our company reserves the right to terminate any ongoing business relationship at our discretion. We have the authority to refuse to work for you or continue providing services upon encountering any conflicts or issues that may compromise the quality of our work or the integrity of our reputation. This provision was put in place to safeguard the best interests of both parties involved.
Moreover, we are deeply concerned about the accusations you have made, specifically claiming that we attempted to scam you. Such an accusation is completely baseless and unsupported by any factual evidence or incidents. We strongly deny these allegations, as they are devoid of any merit or justification. Accusing a business of scamming without proper grounds is a serious matter that can have significant consequences under defamation laws.
We urge you to refrain from making false and defamatory statements that harm our reputation, both personally and as a company.
In the interest of resolving this matter, we kindly request that you desist from making any further derogatory remarks against our company or its employees. Failure to comply with this request will leave us with no option but to pursue legal remedies available to us, including possible claims for damages resulting from any harm to our reputation or business interests.
Please consider this correspondence as our final warning. We emphasize that we expect you to cease all defamatory actions and false accusations immediately. We hope that this situation can be resolved amicably, but please be advised that we are prepared to protect our rights and take necessary legal actions if required.

Wasfia Ibrahim mailed you!
The red flags in the mail read like this-
“As our office is currently closed, we kindly request that you send any necessary information via email, as in-person visits are currently restricted.”
“Please note that renovation work is currently underway at our main office, limiting visits until next week.
The interview will be over the phone. The company cares about the health of its employees.”
No employer in the whole world writes things about renovations in an introductory mail!
At that point, I googled the website and names of the people - Wasfia Ibrahim and David Clancy(the signature at the end of the pdf). There are zero LinkedIn results by those names and by the company name as well.
They have created a legit website by the name Clancy & Company LLP to fool the job seekers and approach saying that they got the resume from a third-party not to mention any job search apps to avoid legal action.
