Received an MS Teams call from David Henshaw about a job opportunity with Cybin Inc. I gave him via MS Teams my address, phone number and email. 24hrs later, I received a PNC Check for $4,954.00 with a cover letter saying congratulations on being hired. The cover letter was from Mr. Robert M Satterwhite and was on blank white paper (i.e. no letterhead). The letter directed me to email him from my own email address and not my employer's email how the check was used, the exact amount spent, whom I ordered or got home-office materials from, the software vendor if software was purchased and finally to keep the deposit slip for documentation purposes.

I received a text message from a Mrs. Regina Stein (head admin at cybin) said she received my resume through career builder. She sent a link over for a microsoft team with a code to use. I started taking with a David Henshaw on microsoft teams, said he was head hiring manager. He 'interviewed' me. Sent over "This is the First Online Hiring Step...Congratulations, your performance ensured you had a good score eligible for enrollment into our weekly routine training programme. You scored 8.4 out of a possible 10. , You will be trained in all of your possible lacking area's ...you have just been confirmed qualified for this position You are now offered the job position...you are HIRED! You are welcome to ( CYBIN INC.)..... You are now given a chance to show your commitment, charisma, diligence and be a productive employee." Seemed sketchy so i e-mailed the HR dept according to their website. [email protected] I haven't heard back from them. So i told Mr. Henshaw "Good Morning I'm currently waiting for a response from someone in HR to confirm that this company is not a scam. I've had issues with this before If you can't wait till I get confirmation I understand". Did not get a reply.
