I was contacted by a 219 number, saying "CONGRATULATIONS. Thank you for submitting an online application for the position of Data Entry Position," it goes on. They want me to download an app called Signal and contact someone that doesn't actually exist anywhere inside the company or outside of it. I humor them and download it and reach out. Not only was very broken English spoken, but there was no mention of credentials, social media where they could be reached, or anything about the company. They took a standard data entry job description and sent several texts repeating the duties expected. Then they wanted to send me money to buy old Apple products for the position, before asking for all of my personal information. This comes after saying "You got the job!" I've seen this before and ended up blocking every form of contact. The actual company does have socials, but there is no mention of the person that reached out to me, or the supervisor they wanted me to contact tomorrow. They also wanted all correspondence to be over text/email instead of a phone call or video chat.
