They posted on Indeed for a pediatric home health RN position, they did a phone interview only, I never saw the face of the person interviewing me, I never received an email that had their business name. The ONLY emails I received were from a man named STEVE via docu-sign. They sent me the application via docu-sign. I did not think anything of it. A few days later, I received another Docusign document from them requesting me to fill out a form 1099 as an independent contractor and they wanted my bank information and a void check. I became suspicious when the document they sent me had another person's name in it instead of my name. I called them and asked the person I had spoken to before by the name of TOM if this organization paid taxes and if they gave their employee a W2 form. I told him I was concerned about seeing another person's name on the document he sent me. He told me to just erase that person's name and write my name on it. I found that to be extremely sloppy and unprofessional and this is when the red flag started going up! He told me he would call me back after he spoke to his boss regarding whether his organization paid taxes for their employees. He never called me back. I decided to research the organization and I could not find them on the CMS website for Medicare and Medicaid licensed agencies, I found them on the Secretary of State but there was nothing in it to show that they were a healthcare company providing private-duty home health services to pediatric patients. They claim to be able to receive money through a MEDICAID program for disabled children. I blocked them on my phone and my email. I have been an RN for almost 30 years and this is the first time that a JOB raised concerns about its legitimacy. Because they never did call me back and wanted my bank information I feel I needed to let the public know about my experience.
