Type of a scam Employment
They worked really hard to make the role seem real. I went through a full interview session, but was never advised of what my role entailed. They sent me an offer letter which I signed and scanned to them. The rate of pay was outstanding; $20 per hour during training and then $35.75 per hour. They originally said they would send me a check to purchase the equipment. I said 'Oh no!' This must be a scam! Then they said it was not a problem; they would send the equipment. This lowered the flag a little because I know that is how companies work. After I declined the check, they changed and said, if I prefer, they would send the equipment. Then they said I only needed to purchase an Apple gift card for $50 to purchase the software. I disconnected the chat. This entire process was via email and Signal( a teams app).
