- Lima, OH, USA

There was a FaceBook post (originating from Piqua, OH) about a work from home opportunity, The person who posted appeared to be local to Ohio, the names used, Brock Krist. She asked those interested to IM her. I did that and she directed me to Messenger Telegram where I proceeded to correspond with a David Rogriguez. He used the logo from a company called Force Theraputics and indicated that he was recruiting for workers to work from home. Everything seemed on the up and up, he sent a list of job duties, provided rate of pay, etc. David indicated via the Telegram App that I would be shipped all of the "office equipment that I would need" except for one thing,,, which was out of stock with the vendor and that I would have to purchase out of pocket- but the expense would be reimbursed by the Company. That was an iPad Pro. I did not think that was an unreasonable request. So i proceeded to purchase an iPad Pro for $2200. Here is where the seemingly good opportunity begins to unravel. I was then directed to go to a shipping facility to have "company software" downloaded onto the machine. The device was to remain in the box- in original manufacturers condition and would be installed by a vendor in Texas. Needless to say, I have not seen my iPad Pro since. I was also sent to Rite Aid (for an apple gift card, which I was required to load $500. This "fee" was to set up a company ID.. After I did that, I was instructed to send a picture of the card to David Rogriguez...I was sent to Dollar General for an American Express Gift Card. Same thing. I was instructed to load $400 on it. This "fee" was to pay for the software installation for the iPad Pro. After loading, I was instructed to send a picture of the card to David Rodriguez. He said that was all I needed to do / pay for. He assured me- during this entire process that all of these "fees" would be reimbursed by the Company Accounting Department with my check that would be coming with my IPad Pro and office equipment. He told me these were the last fees. Later that day, he reached out to me (again via Messenger Telegram) and said that the software install was complete and said I would need to pay $1000 to ship my IPro and "the other equipment" to my home. He said that $500 was for shipping and the other $500 was for taxes and fees. He gave me two Pay Pal addresses to complete the transaction. The PayPal addresses were to private people. The first one ([email protected] - Rhonda Holcomb) was unable to process (as it was to a European account so my bank alerted as a fraud). So David Rodriguez asked me to go back to Rite Aid and attempt this transition with another gift card. When I told him that I wanted to stop this whole thing and just wanted my iPad Pro back. He said NO. He literally said that "I had to follow the protocols"... He said that if I paid the fees, the equipment could be sent that night. So he asked if there were other apps I had like Zelle, CashApp, Chime. Eventually he sent another PayPal address. [email protected]. The next morning I asked for the status. Guess what ! David Rodriguez wanted another $100 fee.... So... I still do not have my IPro, I am out almost $4000. I have all of the correspondence if anyone would like to take look. I also need assistance getting my $$ and property back. David Rodriguez keeps stating .. 'Only $100 more dollars."
