The scammer tried to make a job offer to my husband by answering important marketing questions. Seemed to good to be true, so we call the number on the website sites and the owner of this company stated that he got hacked and are recruiting people

I answered a job for Proofreader on Craigslist. I know. Craigslist is not good. They sent me an email to get in touch through Skype for an interview. The interview was not through live visual so we could see each other. It was conducted through text/chat. Weird, I know. They got back to me with an offer the next day. I called my buddy who's done some proofreading work. I told my friend the company wanted me to use a separate computer and printer. It is a financial company. There are big clients listed on their website like Charles Schwab, etc. It didn't seem odd that a company that would have money to pay for a separate computer and printer to be installed by a third party. What did seem odd was that American Fundstars emailed me an invoice with my name on it with all the equipment mentioned and a bill for $2,000. They did explain something about a procurement, but I didn't fully understand. And by that time they had already sent this invoice to me. Someone else who works with them actually sent me the invoice. Here is her email address. [email protected] I doubt I'll hear from them again. I just want you to be aware of this so no one else has to go through it.

I was contacted first by email then via text about a job opportunity as a customer service representative at Linkster Therapeutics. Training would be two weeks paid at $25 an hour and then regular pay at $35 an hour. The hiring HR officer Nora Lawrence. Wanted to do a Skype interview. The Skype interview was all texting. No video. The job description was very vague. The company supposedly gives you benefits, but was never gone over in the interview process. Mrs. Lawrence asked me 10 questions, including one question about which bank institution I banked with. She also asked one behavioral question and that was about it. She pretended to go to HR managers for 7 to 12 minutes then 15 minutes later I got a message on the Skype interview session that I got the job and then she sent me an email with a PDF file stating the declaration of employment letter. She also sent a link to the companies website. I never clicked on the link, but I did go to the companies website and I had many typos, and the employment letter also had typos on it as well.

They sent me an email as the IRS as if I applied for a job with them for a customer service rep and advised me to contact [email protected] for further detail. Not sure what they are trying to get or where they are but it's definitely a scam.

I just received this exact message. So disgusted with these scammers flooding the job seeking market

- Pompano Beach, FL, USA

Rcvd text from Valerie Brite 219-287-3212 Said my resume was reviewed via Indeed. She said to set up Telegram for an interview., I set up Telegram on my phone and laptop.. She said once online to connect to Jessica Taylor . I connected with Jessica. She sent me interview questions, that I answered. She then said I was hired, and that I now needed to connect with Tammy Skinner who handled purchasing.

Tammy asked more interview questions. Then I received an offer letter. ( I did not sign)

Then was told I would get an email from Emily Costa in Account Payable ( [email protected]) with a check to purchase the equipment that I would need. ( 2217.00)

This was for an IPHONE, printer, shredder , laminating machine ect.

I have copies of most of the conversations, as well as the offer letter and the check. I did not add as it does have my name listed.

-Misspelled email address, website URLs

-Fake job postings on LinkedIn

-Misattributed/Stolen quote on website

To summarize, this business mislead me with a fake job posting. Without any prior notice, the "job interview" was not an inquiry of my qualifications for the specific position I applied for. Instead, it was a presentation of their business model to multiple applicants, with no mention of the position applied for.

Numerous other aspects of the company's presentation were suspicious and misleading.

This "business" posted on Indeed claiming to have a work from home job available. They asked for personal information, including how to set up direct deposit to get your personal bank information. The phone number no longer works and the address listed pulls up as a home.

Best Georgia Title Loans offer me an independent notary position but I had to get a Google business account. They took my information and kept the account and the money.

I was approached about a job offer for a Remote Video Editor position and was asked to take the interview over the Wire Messaging app with a man named Frank Adams. After they said I got the job, I was asked to do a mobile deposit for a check they only had a picture of. They then wanted me to Zelle money to their “vendor” for a company laptop.

Contact me for a job and offered to send a check to buy offices supplies. Interview was by email and everything seems very weird during entire process.

Email that made me identify the scam:
