E-mailed me with job offer for Quality Control from home. Filed out all forms like a normal employer. Was told that I would be paid weekly for the first 30 days on a per package basis and then monthly thereafter at an increased rate. I did the work and was in contact with "Lucas" for the first month. I got paid for those four weeks. I processed 39 packages the following month, and they stopped coming about a week before I was to be paid. "Lucas" stopped answering the phone (it would just hang up on me when I went through the automated system to get to him). A couple of days after the payday that never happened, my login credentials were revoked to get into the portal. They basically got me for a whole month of free labor.

Package handler job is basically gonna turn you into a mule to ship packages bought with stolen money

I was first contacted by Michelle Scott about a Project Manager position with United Transportation Network. She claimed that the company was based out of Zurich, Switzerland, and setting up in the US. She said that they have an office in New York, and were currently setting up in LA. The position is remote, starts at $96k/yr. I can work from home Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. She spoke about transportation of heavy equipment and oil. I was then contacted my Aaron Reynolds, (via email) from the HR department. The promise was 4 weeks of training and testing. If I passed each test, every Friday, I would be sent a check for $2400. If I scored in the top 10%, the check would be $5400. I will then have a full week of training in NY. I have been receiving materials for the past 3 days, to study. The information is very detailed, and pertains to customs, shipping, damaged goods handling. I have tried calling the number, it goes to a machine, no call backs, just emails. I do have a meet and greet with an HR member from Zurich, tomorrow 3/9/23, at 1pm. My husband found out the the address is a virtual one. At this point, it all seems too good to be true. I do not want to waste anymore time on these people, if this is a scam.

like the person above, i was contacted by email about a reshipping job that pays $62k-$98k they claim. i was given an 11 page pdf with detailed instructions on the company, the products to be bought and shipped, and how to perform the job. the good thing is they don't ask for bank or ssn info. but that's little reassurance for what they do. and in one section of the terms they assure you that you won't be using your own funds to buy and ship the items- mainly electronics. the trial period is for 2 weeks. in another section they say you use the company's account linked to your credit card. you make purchases with your credit card until the trial period is over, then they ok you to use the company's credit card after 15 days. and they keep annoyingly referring to the balance you owe on your cc as an available balance to buy the items with. and your cc is an "open room". and they "clear" your balance so they can have you buy $10k-$15k worth of electronic items. if your work is satisfactory to them by buying and shipping 8 po items in the 2 weeks correctly, then you get to stay on with them. but if your work isn't satisfactory, i'm guessing by any little reason they find, then they let you go and guess who pays the credit card bill with all the stuff you ordered with them. not them, but you. but they do say you can return it. after 15 days? not on electronics, most stores! you're stuck with it. since i owe $5k, on my credit card and am unemployed, i can not afford to do this job- if it even is a legit one, which i strongly doubt. if i am wrong, i hope someone tells me that it's not the way i described it here. mb i misinterpreted it. but i read it several times, so i don't think so. most companies let you use their credit cards to purchase items for them. you shouldn't have to use your own card, is my thoughts and feelings on it. other red flags for me are that there are alot of incorrect grammar and spelling errors, even in the job description. and looking up sts consulting online there isn't much on them. apparently, there is a real sts consulting online with an actual street address. it only has 17 reviews on it. and most of them are blurred out. and i suspect that this company may be hiding behind the real sts company to perpetuate this possible scam. i did not and will not be investing any money nor using my cc. it's very confusing, saying one thing in one place and another in another. to me, if you can't stick to one story, you're lying. i'm truly disappointed bc i thought i really had a good shot to pay off my house and bills and not get evicted.

The position was Purchasing Specialist. Job was to receive P.O. with a list of electronics and gift cards to be purchased and shipped to specific address across seas. Items were purchased using major credit cards. The fake employer would post a credit card payment to cover purchases. 7-10 days later the money posted would be returned by the credit card company. The credit card company said the sending bank couldnt be confirmed and the amount not honored.

I completed my 30day probation. By shipping out the packages and once the 30 day was up, I was told I was getting a check within the next 10 business day. When I try to contact them, they delete their website, change their emails and won’t answer their phone number.

- Cerritos, CA, USA

Offered position of Personal assistant to have beauty products shipped to my address. Once they arrive I was to repackage them and then send them out to the customers. I was sent a check under an auto repair operating account. I was asked to deposit the check and immediately send the finds to a shipper via American Express or Visa card that could be purchased at Walmart, Walgreen's, or Target. They also pressured me to send the money via Bitcoin ATM. They claimed to be out of town and asked that I handle the shipping fees via the check i was sent. They used two number to contact me claiming that the second # was due to the fact that they were out of town. They pressured and threatened a breach of agreement when I backed out of the opportunity.

The application was filed on indeed, they ask for your information just like any regular employer would ask, its based on a W-4 and they ask you to file it out for you to get payed. They put you on a probation period and pay out the packages you send, after the probation period it you begin as a "regular employee" and then your normal salary starts. Hers a file of the job description used when you apply

I was told to receive packages and make sure the packages correctly then take it to the ups office and ship them out

They asked me for my personal information, work without pay for a month and provide my baking account to process a transaction thru my own bank account for “training purposes”

Got an email about a position as a supply chain operations manager saying I would get packages sent to my home and I would have to forward them to the customer via post office or fedex or ups went through a whole process and even with the w-4 when I signed that I could no longer access their control panel I set up initially during the application process I emailed the HR manager that was my point of contact which the name used was Kelly Thomas I’m really nervous because the have my social security number on file now

How has it been going since? Did you experience any negative repercussions?

Scammer initially contacted saying that they had a job offer, and that they had seen my resume on a hiring site. They then prompted me to fill out an application on their website. Afterwards, I had a phone interview and later an email accepting me onto the team. I was to complete a 30 day probation period and then continue at a salary of 3200 per month plus benefits. The job was a Quality Inspector Position where I would work from home receiving packages, inspecting them, documenting the inspection with photographs, fill out an inspection form including tracking numbers, deliver dates, weight of package, contents of package, etc. as well as noting any damage to the parcel. I completed the probation period and was paid the $20 per package that was promised for that part of the job. The issue came when I had completed the probation period. I continued to perform my job function, but I was not paid at all, and when I reached out to my manager to ask about the issue, I never heard anything back and two days later I was locked out of the portal and left with no way to get into contact with anyone I had worked with previously.

I did find the position to be a bit suspicious so I kept screenshots of the tasks (including incoming and outgoing tracking numbers for each package and the name of the ordering manager as well as a brief description of each of the items) I completed as well as some screenshots of the messages sent within the portal and I saved the emails from the company and most of the photos that I took as part of my inspections.

They hire you and you ship items for them. Then they never pay you and steal your information.

The job title they give me was

‘A package inspector’.

They have packages shipped to your home, or sometimes shipping locations (ups, fedex) and you retrieve the package, inspect the packed, report it on your employee dahboard, they send you a shipping label, and then you ship it out. Lost no money. Just time, and now they have my personal information.

I received an email for a Quality Inspector position. This was obviously another reshipping scam, that tricks citizens into smuggling stolen merchandise out of the country.

- Hampton Bays, NY, USA

A job posting on Indeed for a company "Translogix" recruited people to receive packages and re-ship them at no cost to me. I received a few packages of small items, jewelry and such, and re-sent them using shipping labels provided by "Translogix". Today I received a FedEx envelope containing someone's brand new credit card. It definitely doesn't feel right, so I googled and found that someone else had also been scammed. I will obviously not be sending this persons credit card out.

I applied for a Quality Inspector position for this company name Daigio, LLC advertised on Indeed. After applying the HR manager name "Martha Stone" called me the next day or two asking if I have time to do a phone interview. Since the phone interview, the HR manager contact back to a day later offering me the position, including emailing me the employment agreement and W2 form and I filed it to the HR manager afterwards. Once that was settled, the HR manager emailed me instructions to how to set up my profile account because I would have to keep constant communication with this supervisor name "John Ross". I finished setting up the account and soon as that was done the supervisor sent me my first task and short description of what I'm suppose to be doing which didn't fully make sense to me. From my understanding, I was supposely wait for packages from these clients to my house, report that it arrived and it's the item that's inside correct, inspect the item, then the supervisor is suppose to send me a shipping label and send it off to a local UPS store or FedEx. Mind you they haven't trained and I had to wait for package that hasn't showed up which as been 2-3 weeks. I messaged the supervisor that the packaged didn't show up, so he reassign me to another task and told me another package should be there in a couple days. Again, the package never arrived so I tried to communicute to him that the package never came and even asked if I could have another number to call the HR manager. The number that the HR manager called me from can't reach out anymore because now its saying "user busy". Before I even asked the supervisor to give another number I can call from, I emailed the HR manager a question of when are we getting paid and will it be direct deposit. Since then, I haven't heard from the HR manager and supervisor. In addiction, I looked up their company and it was no where to be found and the address is located at a office rental name Jays suites.

The contact with me sent me contract to work for them, W-2, W-4, forms, managers, assistant, managers, and supervisor, numbers, work, expectation, breakdown, commission breakdown salaries right now sent me packages to reliable, reship pick up, drop off to no avail the day I was supposed to get paid all communication was lost. I cannot sign in to the site and no one would contact me back.

This, Michael Garcia. Contact me by email first then called. He stated company been opened a year. The job is you a package handler from home. They'll send items to your home you package and send out. Your first two weeks you have to pay for fee and supplies. But they'll eventually reimburse you. You make $5 for each package sent. So you supposed to make $1500/biweekly and $3000/ month.. I was sent a contract to sign send back. Never signed or sent back. I looked over my application on indeed, where he claimed I filled out for the job. Don't have in records of a job description of that sort. I do believe my information was retrieve from a dummy company using indeed.
