I received an invitation to interview with a Mr. Carl Olander from Neximmune (which is a real pharmaceutical company) on Monday morning via Skype. Invite came from a Gmail account. I accessed the person via Skype. He told me what the job entailed and told me the job paid $30ph and then asked me if I thought I was overqualified. I said no. Then he asked me a few simple questions and quickly said that they would like to offer me the position. They would send me a check for the very high priced software that I needed to buy and then they would tell me who to purchase it from. They would send me an offer letter and that I needed to log back to Olander the next day on Skype for further updates. I was excited at first until I started researching the company and all of the red flags came visible. 1. The company let go of 98% of their employees in October 2023. So I skyped him back and asked that question why and his answer was that during the Pandemic (dates didn't coincide with the article.)

2. This was a publicly traded company and their stock was tanking. 3. In November 2023, the board of directors decided to dissolve the company.

The offer letter came the next day about 5am via a Gmail account, there were again red flags. The letter was on company letterhead but the Title had the name of another pharmaceutical company in the offer. And then the signature of the company HR rep looked like STEVEN but was printed Spencer. I played along and got on Skype with Olander. He asked me if I received the letter. I said yes and I had some additional questions (the questions above). Also that I was pleased that he gave me some time to respond to the offer because I had to have my Attorney review it prior to my signing. At that point, he disappeared from the Skype call. I waited for 25 minutes! Be careful the predators are out there.
