On May 30 2023, I received an email from Noah Gracier, [email protected], advising me to contact Alex Mark, from Presico Engineering for a job. I followed the links provided by Mr. Gracier. I spent about an hour via messaging Mr. Mark for the interview. He was pleased with my performance and hired me. He said that the company would provide the necessary equipment and an I Phone 14 Pro so I may work remotely. Everything went well until, Friday, June 2, 2023. I received a check for $4,930 from the company, yet, the name on the check was Veronica Mary Hagerty, located in Texas. Mr. Mark advised me to deposit the check, He said it was for the equipment. I went to the bank. They refused to deposit the check. They confirmed my suspicions of this being a fraud. This morning, I text thru the "team site" and it is now 3 hours later and Mr. Mark has totally ghosted me. I consider myself lucky that I had suspicions and when the bank confirmed them, that the check was not cashed. The whole thing is pretty sad. The job, the pay, the hours, were all perfect. I guess it is true. When it sounds too good, it usually isn't.
