A recruiter reached out to me via WhatsApp and claimed she was a recruiter from an agency called Clarity. She offered me a freelancing job then she asked another person called Linda to message me over WhatsApp and teach me how to do this freelancing job. Linda asked me to complete a few tasks for the Smaato platform and I would get the commission. Basically, she asked me to use the Smaato platform to promote other IOS apps. How it works is that I spend bitcoins to download random apps and Smaato gives me a commission. So I followed her instructions to do the tasks on a daily basis. First I deposited bitcoins to their platform to complete the tasks. It looked fine at first until I needed to deposit more bitcoins to complete a bigger task. I realized it's a scam but it's too late because I deposited 2600 CAD to their account. I stopped after that but couldn't retrieve my funds from their platform.
