Tutoring scam from Christopher Dunn

The same person, Christopher Dunn, contacted me with the same story, looking for a biology teacher for his daughter, Christine. He wrote me almost the exact text that did to the other to persons who are reporting the scam on this website. He was very convincing, and in his last mail, he asked me for my details, such as full name, mailing address, and phone number. Without any suspicions, I sent him the requested information, and for almost a week, I did not hear from him again. See the attached image of his last mail.

A man claiming to be Christopher Dunn reached out to my language teacher claiming to need tutoring for his daughter, Christine. My teacher recommended me since she didn't have the time for it, and he claimed to want to pay $45/hour. His responses to my emails seemed very off, and he wanted to pay me $720 upfront because his work brings him out of state often. The whole situation seemed off to me, and I attempted to google him. I didn't find much, but found this site and the complaint about him from June, 2024. I haven't contacted him since, and have reported him to my teacher and to my university.

Type of a scam Employment

A person claiming to be named Christopher Dunn approached me by email about tutoring his alleged daughter. He said he would pay in advance and include money for her and his cousin. When the $3550 check arrived on 6/27/2024, I transferred $2750 to his alleged cousin, Rozel-Joy Bartolome. The following day he claimed that his daughter had become very ill and asked me to transfer the remainder of the money. I did that. Later that day, my credit union informed me that the check was a forgery and the $3550 were being withheld from the joint checking account that I share with my wife.
