Caller asked the consumer to verify her full name, full address, employment, age, phone, email, date of birth, married or single, deaf or hearing impaired, did she own or rent her home, and did she prefer to receive her money by cash or check. Caller stated that the money would be delivered by UPS, from the CEO of Facebook.
Consumer received a comment from a Facebook friend stating that she "did this and received a lot of money." ScamPulse.com suggested that the Consumer contact her friend, by means other than Facebook, to verify that this is actually true. When Consumer called the friend on the phone, a man with a heavy foreign accent answered. The Consumer will contact her friend through another mutual friend to inform her of the scam.
