Type of a scam Other
On their website it literally says they buy scrap metal, no load to big or too small. (However I expect if they read this that wording will “disappear”)
So I brought in a bunch of metal. I loaded a shopping cart completely overflowing with metal. Their scale said 183 pounds.
However here is where they scam you. They then state that they only pay for over 200 pounds of metal and you can either put it in the bin next to you or would you like to take it back.
So of course I felt pressured because there was a big line behind me and I didn’t expect this scam. So I dumped all my metal in the bin and left feeling I had no other choice.
Now I’m looking at trusted reviews of the place and I find out they pull this scam all the time.
There is literally nowhere on their website it states such a policy (however if they read this then I’m sure it’ll suddenly “appear” on the site)
Also there are absolutely no signs visible anywhere that explain that scam policy. Not visible anywhere when you are in the line waiting to weight the metal. ( perhaps if you walk way over into the slimy corner and look in the office window they have it written in super tiny writing on a sticky note or something. (Doubtful. But if they read this then maybe some such signs will suddenly appear in the waiting area.
Anyways they scammed me hardcore and I fell for it like an little kid.
Beware of any dealings with this place.
