Enexis Groep Reports & Reviews (2)

First I was contacted by Enexis Groep's Lead Talent Recruiter, Harry ******** by email. He said they found me through smartrecruiter.com but I dont know what that website is but anyway... he said I was shortlisted for an online interview through Telegram, an IM app with the hiring manager Nikki Van Hoof. The pay was astounding, the schedule was flexible, amazing benefits and it was remote work at least to start. I thought it was weird they told me the pay but they mentioned multiple different job options as if the pay was the same for any of the options. But I did the interview. I was told to only respond with "okay" or "yes" through the chat, since they messaged me with automatic messages. When I spoke or asked questions beyond "yes" and "okay", I got responses, so I didnt think much of that. But I thought it was weird that they didnt care that I took an hour to answer one question and overall the interview took a few hours because I took my time to answer the questions well. I also thought it was weird that right after I answered the last set of questions - like, seconds later, even though I just sent them a long paragraph - I got a response that said I did very well in the interview and to wait 15-20 mins then theyll let me know the result. I waited then they told me I was hired. Then they told me a bunch of things about the next steps, which included being sent a check to purchase equipment to do the job at home such as a laptop, printer and scanner through their regular vendors. Then they told me to check in online with Nikki at 8am the next day through Telegram. I havent spoken to anyone over the phone, video chat or in person this whole time.

The scammer went by the name of Harry Fletcher and sent me an email through Gmail claiming to represent Enexis Groep, a clean energy company based in the Netherlands. They claimed to have found me through smart recruiter, but I didn't remember making a profile on smart recruiter and upon clicking the link it sent me to Indeed.com. The job offered had a starting salary of $35.75 per hour and there were eight jobs listed as available. They wanted to do the interview via the Telegram app. I downloaded it and began talking to someone who claimed to be Nikki Van Hoof. This person also had a page on linkedin which can no longer be found from my end. The person claiming to be Nikki asked for my name and location but I refused to give those until I asked questions. She said the starting pay was accurate, that my skill set as an English major currently interning as a writer/editor was a fit for the company and then sent me a variation of the same text she sent at the start of the messaging asking for my name and location. I looked her up and she had a linkedin, but I could find no evidence of the company expanding into the United States as she claimed they were or of her being an actual employee. I tried calling the number for Exenis but was unable to connect. Then, when I asked her for the number, I looked away for two minutes and the message chain vanished.
