I had met with a few friends for dinner at a small pub in a town about an hour from me. When we all left I realized I had a bad, very low tire, so my friend suggested I park my car in the lot across the street and she would bring me back to my car this next days so we could get the tire changed. We checked to make sure it wasn't a private lot with no parking signs or such; there were no signs, warnings, gates or any of the sort suggesting no parking, so I felt certain it was safe to leave it there, and much safer than me trying to drive to my home almost an hour away, or even follow my friend to her house which was at least 30 minutes away. The next day I picked up my car with no issues, no parking ticket or anything on my car. Several days later I receive this paper that says parking invoice on one side with a picture of my car and of my tags warning me to pay or they will come find me and tow my car or turn me over to collections. There is nothing on the back of the paper. I showed this to my nephew whom is a police officer and he says it is a scam. At the top of paper it says parking invoice, then below it says this location is not affiliated with the City of North Little Rock or any Pulaski County governmental entity and not subject to criminal penalities.
