Microsoft teams chat interview scam

I applied for a customer service rep job online and initially received a congratulations text from someone called Thomas Kelly saying I had been shortlisted for a Microsoft teams interview. The text only stated the job title, not the company -and also listed a high hourly pay which should have been a red flag for me. It had a link to the interviewee called Jarod K Mattew on teams which I clicked, and then began talking with him. I was surprised when he told me it was a text interview but continued nonetheless. It carried on as a normal interview but I started to see red flags when he asked who my cell service is with and if it’s post or prepaid. He then asked who I banked with and for how long. I gave him this information and talked about it with my husband and realized it was definitely a scam. He told me he’d talk to his superiors and then the interview results were “on his desk”. Thankfully I didn’t give him any useful important information but this is the type of scam someone can definitely fall for. I am usually very attentive with scams but even this one caught me up until the phone and bank details.

Received a text message about making it to the next step of the interview process for a job. Was asked to connect with Emory Sangster via a specific Microsoft teams link. Contacted the specified person and was told the interview was completely over chat. I was asked normal interview questions, but at the end, he asked for what bank I used and for how many years, which tipped me off that this was not an interview. He did not ask any personal questions that could allow him to access my information, but the link possibly was malicious, on top of asking what bank I used.
