Contacted what I thought was Enterprise car rentals. Thats how they even answer the phone. I told them I would like to make a reservation for a rental. Told them where I would like to pick the car up . The agents name was Adam. He went through a bunch of questions like how many days was I going to need the car are all drivers over the age of 25 and so on. Then he mentioned that American Express was running a special in conjunction with enterprise that if you use your American Express card you can get your rental for $25 a day plus a $250 security deposit which would be returned when the car is returned. So my total would be $370 .I've rented enough cars to know this is how it works. I told him I didn't have an American Express card he told me I could use one of the pre paid cards. I said okay I would call him back. Got the card for $400 and he took the information from the card and told me I would have my confirmation papers in an hour in my email. Then he told me the card would not be charged till I picked up the car. That was the end of the call. I thought wait that comes right away something not right. So I called the card there was 2 cents left on it. I called him back he hung up on me . So I called a different number for enterprise and naturally there was no reservation in my name I just got scammed. This all happened on August 13 2024 in Pennsylvania

I Googled rental cars and 866-637-4184 popped up for Enterprise Rental Cars. I called the number and was told it would be $25 a day. I was told to purchase a Visa prepaid gift card or a GoTo bank card for $350 which would be the total of the rental car for 14 days and another one for $200 for the deposit. I was told to call a different number, 888-608-2825 once I purchased the cards. I told them I had a Wal-Mart credit card but they told me they couldn't accept that. I didn't buy the cards because it didn't seem right that they were asking for prepaid cards.

I searched Google for and the Enterprise Rent-A-Car and the First Entry at the Top of the Page Looked Like

a Perfectly Legit Ad For Enterprise Rent-A-Car. So I called 877-589-5135 Ext. 4008 and Asked if I could

get the GEICO Rate .

rate for my Rental Since I was in a Accident and don't have rental coverage with Geico.

He asked what the Claim number was and My Name. Almost sounded Legit.

He Said his Name was Louis Brown.

He said for a Deposit of $500.00 in Green Dot, GO TO, or Go Bank Gift Card.

So he said call him back at 866-730-0887 and give him the #'s from the Card.

After Calling my Local Enterprise they said they don't do that. It's a Scam not to my Surprise.

So at 6:10 he called Back to see if I got the Gift Card. I said it was a Scam and I hope he goes to Jail.
