I had a medical procedure done, to which my insurance covered, and the scammer sent me a bill for $207. I checked with my insurance and it had fully covered the procedure, so there was no bill due. The scammer also used my old insurance information that I no longer have. The scammer sent me an email first with a link to pay online and phone number to call. Then I received two text messages (they have my phone number) and finally a paper bill came in the mail (they have my home address).
