I am a (bbb accredited) business and I received a letter from the ERC saying I have $108,000 coming back to me (tax refund). It says "Tax Refund" at top. It asks you to call a phone number, but there is nobody there to reach! There are several red flags with this letter that you received, with the most significant being the fact that 1) calling the phone number on the mailer, it does not identify who you have reached, and 2) you cannot speak with anyone. Here are some notes:

1. Calling 202-791-4616 I reached a recording stating, "press 1 to become connected with the party you are calling." When I pressed "1" I got a recording that said "extension 777 is unavailable." (This is very strange and unprofessional.)

2. Doing a reverse check on the phone # simply shows that this number is a landline, and nothing more.

3. The small print on the reverse side of this mailer that you received identifies it as being a "specialty payment company."

4. Please note that if this was truly a government program, the website would end in .gov (rather than .com)
