Received a text from a Kelsey Secules for a work from home data entry position. She sent me a number to text the hiring manager on the Signal app. He conducted an interview through text. Told me I had the job and then proceeded to tell me that I will receive a check to purchase my office equipment. I did not send any personal information. He told me I would receive a job offer letter via email and to check back in the morning for progress on the check. It didn't sound right so I started investigating. I sent a message this morning and he started asking questions like if I bank with Wells Fargo after I told him that I bank elsewhere and If I had ride. I knew then for sure it was a scam. I sent a message letting him know I knew it was a scam and have not received any messages since then.
