We found this website looking to buy a west highland terrier puppy. I called number on website and spoke with a man claiming to be Isac Carr, he texted me questions to answer about my family and why we wanted a puppy. Then he said they would review these and let us know if we were approved. The next day, 8-5-17, we were notified of approval and he said he would walk her and send me som pics. He sent 3 pictures of a westie with harness on and sitting outside. We then were sent a bill of sale and he asked for payment of $800 to be sent. We sent this by western union since we had seen other breeders who want payment upfront, and were planning to pick the dog up the next day at 12 pm in Atlanta. He told us an address which we later found out was an abandoned wearhouse in Atlanta. At 9:30pm the night before we were to pick her up he texted asking if we were still coming? I said yes and he replied "please don't" i then said we are coming at 12:00 as planned is this ok? He replied "no". He would not answer our calls and after talking to local police we think he has a burner phone. His website is still up with the same number and we have friends that have called inquiring about puppies and he has given them the names Avery Lawson and Ernie Peterson. He did have to show ID to pick up the money which was in Lawrenceville, GA, and Western Union was notified. His website is very good and even has testimonials and updated pictures. I just hope there is a way to get this out to others before they fall for the scam and who knows how many have already done so. We also have talked with AKC and he is not registered as a breeder under any of the given names, which he claimed to be. Thank you for your help!
