WHEN I CALLED THE NUMBER I FIRST SPOKE WITH A GENTLEMAN (with a foreign accent) WHO ACTED AS IF THEY WERE TAKING CARE OF IT AND CANCELLING IT AND PROTECTING MY ACCOUNT. GAVE ME THE ADDRESS THAT THE COMPUTER WAS SHIPPED TO, ETC. SO SINCERELY SAYING NEVER, EVER GIVE YOUR SS # OR BIRTHDATE TO ANYONE ON LINE, YADA, YADA - THEN AT END OF CONVERSATION (AFTER GIVING ME A CONFIRMATION NUMBER OF OUR CONVERSATION) SAID HE WAS TRANSFERRING ME TO THEIR FRAUD PROTECTION DEPARTMENT TO CONFIRM - THAT PERSON STARTED ON ABOUT SAYING MY IP ADDRESS WAS COMPROMISED AND HE WOULD HELP IF I GAVE IT TO HIM. I WOULD NOT - HE SAID THEN GO ON MY COMPUTER AND HE WOULD GUIDE ME TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANY INDICATION OF COMPROMISE AT WHICH TIME I HUNG UP.
