I saw their job posting for “freelance proofreader” on Upwork. It is NOT legitimate. The interview was conducted over Skype MESSAGING by an “Esme Tanner”. They had me fill out a google forms questionnaire and send resume.

They then sent me to another person to do “onboarding.” They sent me a pdf of a check to print and deposit via mobile for the purchase of a brand new laptop I would need for work. Avoid it if you can and just walk away. I left before it could go further.
