Recently, joined as a freelancer on Upwork. I was invited to submit a proposal for a Senior Digital Marketing Manager for $20-$55 an hour. Proposal was accepted and an invite to interview was sent. I responded and reached out according to the directions provided on Skype (red flag #1). The entire interview was conducted via skype messenger (red flag #2) and no face time was provided (red flag #3). When asked about talking to someone face to face, I was told I would meet with a trainer for orientation after acceptance of the position. Vague info about the company was provided. The site itself is vague as well. I was asked several times for personal info. When I called such out after an hour in a half they immediately disappeared and deleted the messages associated. Good thing I took photos with my phone.
