On March 3rd 2023, I read an advertisement via Facebook as “sponsored” item: Their website offer (still up as of 05/29/2023) is https://evadual.com/products/arch-trellis-for-2-x8--planter-box. I purchased two items in order to get free shipping as announced, and used my credit card, which was charged the same day. I also received a confirmation email, saying that I will get another email when the items were shipped.
On March 5th I got an e-mail with shipping info, and even a tracking number with link to a tracking system, and a link to their website and to my purchase order.
About a month after the purchase, and not having any news about my order, I wrote to the customer service address they had in their order page ([email protected]), alerting them that my order was not received, and requesting a return if the order was cancelled for any reason I wasn’t aware of. The email bounced showing "email address not found".
The “not found” customer service email address was a big realization that I had been scammed.
When looking at the tracking link they sent originally, I found that the item had been sent from China!, and that it was supposedly delivered to my address on March 17th, confirming that I had been scammed big time: (I am trying to attach a screen capture of their fraudulent tracking page to this report, but the system seems to not like it).
I called my credit card on May 29th 2023, once I saw in FaceBook that these scammers are still acting and now more openly in FaceBook, using larger advertisements in people’s newsfeed page, using another fake website front (CICUGO.SHOP), but selling the same product:
The price per unit is now lower, $19.99 instead of $29.99, and they are now using some familiar logos (like the Sam’s Club in this case), probably to gain the trust of the viewers.
