I looked into Mystery shopper jobs but didn't sign up for anything. I suddenly started getting a text from a "man" calling himself Daniel Lawrence. He was telling me that a USPS Priority mail delivery was coming to me and to confirm when I was received it. I required as to what it was but no response. Everyday he kept texting saying he could tell it was delivered and why wasn't I responding. I was actually out of town. Once back I called ScamPulse.com and as I was telling about it I could tell how fishy it sounded! There is no real business name listed on the paper that he sent with instructions, nor on the "advanced check" for $1950.70 that he says I am to deposit and take a picture of my deposit slip showing that I have cashed it. Then I was instructed to "evaluate" a nearby Walmart and purchase $800 of Gift cards and then $800 of eBay cards from another store like Target or grocery. I was to scratch off the number on back and take a picture sending the picture to the email address listed. I was to be able to keep the left over money.

I am seriously looking for a legitimate job and I feel like they are trying to take advantage of my vulnerability right now and I may have fallen into the trap out of desperation for a job and money if my better senses didn't tell me this was such a scam!!! Yesterday I received another text from Daniel at a different phone number telling me if I was trying to abscond with their money that the FBI would be contacting me. I don't appreciate the harassment either!! I will block the number but I wanted to report them first. Anything else I can do to protect myself? Obviously they now have my phone number and address!! :(
