I recently was scammed $9,000 by wire fraud in my bank account by somebody named Logan Harper (which now I know is fake) and Derek Williams. I literally can’t do anything to get that money back from them they blocked me and shut down my “work email”. I was told the money was to pay for events and I just recently got let go from my other job working in special events and I desperately needed the money and overlooked the possibility of it being a scam. It literally has ruined my life and I have no way of being able to pay that back to the bank. It’s destroying my credit and now with the virus I am even more screwed. When going to the police they told me if I decide to move forward I can possibly be arrested if it ends up being a money laundering situation. I can’t win and Event Decor Factory has ruined my life :(

They are scammers for sure! I applied on their job on Indeed and it all looked smooth. First red flag I noticed was the heavy accent the guy on the phone had, and his name is Ian Grossman supposedly. After doing a research for them regarding some venues they paid me $20 via pay pal. Pay pal is not trackable btw. Second red flag was them asking me for my bank info so they can deposit client's money on my account for me to pay the event cost. After that I knew they are not who they say they are. I called them few times and I would always talk to someone with the thick accent. They all have English names, like Logan, Ian and Alison. They are a fraud and they should be reported. Do not believe anything they say to you. Event Decor Factory is fraud!

This company is a complete scam had me waist countless hours of sleep trying to complete deadlines that are fake. I’m so hurt and upset because I’m pregnant and really needed this money from a second job. I hate that I trusted them. My hubby told me it was weird from the start and I didn’t believe him because I wanted the job.

I applied for the job when I saw it on Indeed, but they immediately called for an interview and it all just seemed too easy. The person on the phone had a really strong accent, which was red flag #1 as I had him repeat several things because I couldn’t understand him. They emailed me that I had successfully been approved, and then I got a link to upload pictures of my passport and bank statements to prove my residency. It all just seemed too fishy and too quick, so thankfully I researched into their company and found these reviews! Thank you everyone! I’ll be ghosting them :)

same thing happen to me they are frauds using different names and and numbers. they are Changing the number on the website they are using and everything. I reported them as well. The people that are commenting about working for them on here are not real they are frauds too! They are hitting up different states on indeed just Changing the name up I reported all of them. I reported them with the government as well

I accepted a position I found on Indeed.com for a remote event coordinator. It sounded really ideal for me as a freelancer $1,200 a month. I interviewed and accepted the job even though the person had a strong accent. I started like any normal job and submitted my direct deposit information and W9 for payroll. They also asked for a utility bill and drivers license. They had me do 2 small research tasks and create spreadsheets, researching restaurants in Newark, prices per person and capacity of the places. Then they said they had a birthday party request and I was going to plan the party, search for a venue, cake, flowers, a band etc. I collected all the vendors and input it into a spreadsheet but the "client" did not choose a location for a few days. Then they said they were depositing money into my account. I thought it would be .01 to test the direct deposit. They deposited $480 into my account and gave me instructions to withdraw the money in cash and deposit it into a Bank of America. I said NO and this was fishy and not part of the job description. They assured me it was for a balloon order for another event and that this was a teaching exercise. Then they wanted me to transfer the money to another account, BoA and gave me all the info and said it had to be done the same day. At this point it was clear this was not a real job, as they were saying I could keep some of the funds if I just did this. I refused and contacted my bank and told them about the wire transfer into my account and it was not authorized. They said the sender had already retracted the wire transfer and they would file a claim. They "company" keeps messaging me on WhatsUp asking me where their money is and if I made the transfer and to take a screen shot to prove it. I have muted them. I am really concerned as I sent this "company" all of my personal information like drivers license, ss number, address, utility bill, etc. Don't fall for this scam or be a money mule for these criminals. I filed an FBI ic3 report as well.

They post ads saying they are hiring then they reply to your inquiry saying you are hired. You submit hiring documents like you ID and a W-9 to them and they steal all of your information. They will also demand that you open a bank account for the work and they will deposit company funds in there for you to use to pay for work related things. They attempt to gain your trust by sending you small amount of money via paypal at first. They have a company portal for work related communications and submission and they create an official company email for you. When you decline to open the bank account they ghost you with all of your info and leave you on the line for any any expenses and communications in regards to the work they had you doing.

I went on indeed to look for a job. There was a job posting for an Event Coordinator Assistant but the company name said confidential. It said flexible hours/part-time/competitive pay/$800 a week. I gave them my resume and went to a website (hrsys.eventdf.com/register) to fill out an application. They called me the following business day for a phone interview and hired me based on the phone interview. The "HR guy named Derek Williams," said he will call my references and do a background check before we can begin. He never called my references. He had me take a picture of my DRL/ Passport/ my face with my passport/ and a bank statement with my current address on it. Then he sent me a W-9 form and a "Employee probationary period agreement," form before I could begin. He also had me download the "WhatsApp," on my phone and that is where we began messaging. He set me up with a company email account using webmail.eventdf.com. A woman named Alison Willson introduced herself and said she was my manger. Then another person named, Logan Harper said he was my coordinator and gave me my first task of calling restaurants in the area for general none sensitive information. I completed the task and emailed it to him and he told me I did a good job and wanted to give me a bonus. They had me set up PayPal account and transferred $20 from a person named Malcom Spears, which I did not recognize. I didn't deposit the money into my bank account, I just left it in there and the Logan person told me to link my checking account to it so that clients can pay me. He wanted me to give him my Bank name/address, routing #, wire routing #, checking account #, savings account #, recipient name, and address. I then started to question why they need this information and asked for their references and employee handbook. He refused to give me this information. My sister looked up the company website and realized they were using stock photos and one of them had Meghan Markle's designer friend on it. My sister also called the leasing company for the building they claimed the rented in Florida and they have never heard of that company. They have two different websites with the same info. except the phone number is different. At this point I didn't give them any of my bank info. and deleted the app on my phone and my PayPal account. I then emailed the HR "Derek Williams, " and told him I didn't feel comfortable giving that info. out and I would no longer be working with them.
