I went on line to find a boxer puppy and hobbly Classifieds came up with the site Excellent European boxer puppies. They are now advertising as platinumboxerpuppies.com with the exact pictures of the puppies I looked at and selected one from. I proceeded to research the site, read testimonials finally deciding on a puppy since the add seem so legit. I sent $600 thru my zelle pay on a Friday morning. Later that day I received an email from a shipping company stating i needed to send $900 for shipping, an airline approved crate. After much deliberation I sent the money via Zelle and money gram. The next morning I received another email stating I now needed to pay additional $$$for required pet insurance. This us when I realized I had been scammed. I have reported this to the FBI internet scam department, local police department, AKC as their logo is on the bottom of their site.

So on the website I either found via face book or a puppy finder site I see these adorable boxer puppies for sale. Seller stated that that these puppies were 10 weeks old and they were selling them for $600 with free shipping . The add also stated that the puppies travel with a pet nanny to ensure their safe trip to there destination.

The add it self is very convincing, stated that they have another liter due on April 28th and need to get rid of theses puppies before new puppies arrive.

The email stated they were located in Alpharetta, Georgia. The pictures showed the puppies playing in a yard, being walked be an adult male, and playing with toys.

We did research and the site really did seem legit.

After much though and research (obviously not enough) we decided on a puppy.

On Friday March 29th I foolishly sent her $ 600 via Zelle pay which is not protected by the way.

I then get emails from a pet transportation company from Rhode Island non the less but I thought it was just the parent company stating the needed money for the ventilated create and rental to the tune of $960.00. Which I was told was fully refundable upon delivery of my puppy. So much to my ignorance I paid this fee again thru my Zelle pay and a money gram.

The next morning when I tried to phone the transport company to see when my puppy was to arrive , their phone number went strictly to email. I then received another email requesting $899. addition be paid for puppy insurance for the flight.

My gut should have told me this isn't correct so I proceeded to due further research and found to ship a puppy from Georgia to my home doesn't cost that much and that it isn't safe to to transport puppies under 16weeks of age.

I tried several times via e-mail to get the seller to give their address so we could pick up the puppy but they never would include this in the e-mail.

Needless to say BUYER BEWARE. Now I have filed a lawsuit and am dealing with the attorney general's office in my state.
