Richard Powell, PhD is advertising a position for a personal shopper. Once responding to the ad, Mr. Powell will ask you for your contact information. After providing mailing information, Mr. Powell will mail a fake check and ask you to deposit the check into your account and email him proof of deposit. From that point, Mr. Powell will send an email of how to buy money orders from the post office and to text him for an address of where to send the money orders. From the amount sent, Mr. Powell will tell you to keep $300 from the check as payment for the assignment. Please see the attached email.
