We were looking to purchase an exotic short hair kitten for our daughter for Christmas. There are no breeders in our area that were going to have any available, so we took to the internet. Stumbled upon Exotic Shorthair Cattery website. Filled out their on line form and they responded quickly. We should have realized when they didn't ask for a deposit, instead asking us to Venmo the full 1000 to them. They sent a contact, which looked legitimate. They sent more picture of the kitten as well.

We had a scheduled delivery and as it approached they would not respond to my texts or emails or phone messages. The day the kitten was supposed to be delivered, we were emailed by a fake shipping company saying they couldn't deliver the kitten because the weather was unmanageable as I checked the weather from the airport to my home and it was beautiful sunny skies. They then wanted to charge us an astomomical fee to deliver the kitten in an electrontic crate! The name of the courier was Courier Mile. It was an awful experience, and broke my daughter's heart. Our own fault for being so trusting.
