I tried to call Expedia about a recently purchase flight. I searched for "expedia contact number" on Google and found the following information "To call Expedia customer service, dial their +1-??????-??????-????????(No Hold) or 1-800-EXPEDIA (1-??????-??????-????????) if you are in the United States." Come to find out, that is not a real Expedia number, but a scammer's number. I called the number and talked to a foreign sounding woman. She seemed legit because she had all the information about my flight down to the details. She apparently has access somehow to Expedia's computer system. She told me that my flight was on hold and that I needed to pay $363.94 more for taxes or something or else my flight would be cancelled. She was asking me for my credit card information when I got suspicious to the point that I just hung up. She called me back immediately and my caller ID showed Travel Tringle 888-815 3006. I googled that number and found out that it was already identified as a SCAM. I called Expedia and reported the info to them and they said they would attempt to investigate the matter.
