2. Received a text message on 5/5/16 from 331-208-7996 from a James Hernandez, Research Manager at ExperienceIt Research Inc asking the following: (copied directly from message )
(Secret Shopper $300 Reward)
Dear Survey Applicant,
You have been registered and assigned a secret shopper assignment which will take place on Tuesday 05/10/16. Survey time 30 minute at the store
You will give us feedback on your overall experience and opinion on the store by filling out a survey form.
You will receive your survey package via postal mail on Monday 05/09/16. Confirm your availability by sending reply (Yes or No)

3. Received package in the mail on 5/12/16 from: ExperienceIt Reseach, Inc, Paul Benson, 5850 Dallas Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75248-3308. Mailing label was printed and cut on regular paper. Inside the package was a letter labeled "Wal-Mart Survey Instructions" and a Cashier's Check in the amount of $1,778.00 from the First Community Credit Union in St. Louis Missouri. I received a text message at 4:26pm from the same number saying: (copied from the text)
Confirm you receive your package via postal mail today also confirm you process your survey check at the bank today so you can have funds to take your su
The survey instructions stated to deposit the cashiers check and also send a Money Gram money order for $1,428.00 (includes fee) to this Paul Benson person and spend $50 at Wal-mart and keep $300 for myself. I am weary of sending money from my bank to some unknown person when I know that's how people try and steal money from you. So I became suspicious after reading the instructions.
4. After the text message and reading the instructions, I looked up the tracking number for the package and it was originated in Philadelphia, PA. See below, copied from USPS website.

5. I attempted to call the number that was texting me to speak to a live person but the message I received was an automated system stating:
You have reached your friends voicemail on "Text Me". Please leave a message after the beep and your friend will receive it in seconds. Thanks for using "Text Me" the free texting and calling app. Speak now to leave a message.
6. I texted the number saying I needed to speak to a live person to answer questions before continuing further.
7. On 5/13/16 at 1:26pm I received an email from [email protected] stating:
Dear Novella Velasquez,
We are waiting to have your survey report today, Confirm your Walmart receipt # and your MG reference # to us via email and text.
Attached below is your survey form, fill the form and send it back to us via email.
Waiting to have a detail report from you soon.

With a survey form that was not formatted attached.
I replied to the email stating I needed to speak to a live person to verify this is not a scam.
8. My intuition tells me this is a scam and I have yet to hear any word from the organization.
When I tried to click on the original link from survey monkey there was a message stating:
***This survey is currently closed due to a violation of SurveyMonkey's terms of use.
That's when I decided to report it and concluded it was a scam.
