Exposhome's web site does not list a telephone number. So I sent the company an email saying I never received the item. I also mentioned that I had an electrician coming to my house on 9/26 to install the thermostat and needed it by then. Then I called UPS about the package. UPS told me package was delivered to the address on the package, which is not the address of my house. So I sent a follow-up email to Exposhome. This was on 9/20.
Not hearing back from Exposhome, four days later, on 9/23, I sent a third email and asked if Exposhome had received the other two. I never got an answer.
On 9/26 I telephoned my bank. I was told that a transaction for the exact amount as the thermostat had been charged to my account on 9/10. But instead of it being from Exposhome in Cape May, NJ, the transaction was with "Ambra Bioscience LLC" in Carlsbad, CA. The company was described as selling "miscellaneous merchandise." While on the phone with the bank, I looked up and found a biotechnology company called "Ambra Bioscience LLC" in San Diego, CA. Meanwhile, the bank's agent tried calling the telephone number listed as the merchant's number for the transaction charged to my credit card. She reported back that the telephone number is "just some guy's cell phone" number.
As a result, the bank flagged the transaction as disputed. The bank also cancelled my credit card and is in the process of issuing a new one. The electrician came on the 26th but has to come again because I do not have the thermostat.
